Five gifting tips for the man that has it all

Gifting suggestions that will inspire you to give him the best gifts!

I used to work for a men's luxury brand for more than 5 years and I have met a lot of women desperately looking for the right gift for their man who has it all! Since most of my regular clients were men, I gathered a great deal of information on how they think and how they shop for themselves. And I can tell you, ladies, it's very different from what we think they want and need.

So, here are 5 tips on what you should or shouldn't do when choosing a gift for your man:

1. Do not buy him a wallet! That thing that is falling apart in his pocket and makes you cringe when you see it is his favorite of all wallets he ever had! It's small and it fits everything, it's magic! To them. So instead of buying him a new giant wallet that you see fit for him, consider the smallest thing they have in the shop, and even then, please make sure you get a gift receipt and encourage him to replace it if he doesn't find it suitable. Nothing wrong with exchanging a gift, especially if you have spent a considerable amount of money, and you'd like him to love it and use it every day.

2. Make him a collector! If you feel like he has it all and you are not sure what niche product to buy for him, consider something that is exclusive, limited in numbers, or something that is issued every season or every year. This way you will not only find a solution for the problem on hand but solve your decision-making for the next occasion as well! Thank me later.

3. Personalize a gift for him! He may think he has it all but do those things have his name on them? When personalizing a gift don't think of only having his initials on a wallet, the sky is the limit! Think of what he likes and find ways to make an ordinary item into a unique and cherished gift. 4. Introduce him to a new activity! Shared experiences are what bring people closer. Best to find something that he may not think of himself, (please don't throw him off a mountain if he has heart issues) and that can be turned into a regular activity for him alone, or for him with his friends or the two of you.

5. Don't forget to build up the atmosphere! As gifts are better prepared in secret and packed in a nice box with a ribbon, sure it's nice to think of the atmosphere in which you will present the gift. This may include a full day of surprises, starting with breakfast in bed, dramatic pick up to a beautiful restaurant or hotel and of course, the cherry on the top, beautifully wrapped you!
